| Corporations, LLCs, and registered Limited Partnerships doing business in Alabama must continuously maintain a Registered Agent with a physical Alabama street address (a PO Box alone does not qualify). The agent may be an individual resident of Alabama or an entity authorized to do business in Alabama, must be available at that address during normal business hours to accept service of process, and receives official state notices on the entity's behalf.
